TanSaburou can search Word,Excel,PDF,HTML and etc. file contents as full text search.

- TanSaburo can search the following file contents.
+ WORD (.docx, .docm, .doc)
+ EXCEL (.xlsx, .xlsm, .xls)
+ PowerPoint (.pptx, .pptm, .ppt)
+ PDF (.pdf)
+ HTML (.html, .htm)
+ TEXT (.txt)
+ Rich Text (.rtf)
+ Outlook (.eml)
Other file type are search content as text type.

- TanSaburou can search FAST because using index system.

- TanSaburou can set auto index update as the following.
+ auto update at startup + x minutes

+ manual update

- TanSaburo stayed on task tray after start-up.
So it is easy to call TanSaburou.

Sorry but no time to thoroughly test for portability. It seems to save all settings and index files in its own folder. Can someone confirm portability on Vista and 7? Thanks.

Odd -- I couldn't seem to get this to generate an index in WinXP. I changed the settings both to update on start + 5 seconds as well as to auto-update at a specific time during the day. I even restarted but still nothing.

I had no problem creating an index on my 7.64 machine. Scheduling will work the next time you start the program. Also, the "S" is not for seconds but for minutes.

All the links above are dead, even Softpedia.
However (thanks to etools.ch) I found TanSaburou v.3.01 at: http://www.softsea.com/download/TanSaburou.html
Direct download link: http://file1.softsea.com/download/ee820 ... _v301e.zip
TanSaburou seems to run fine on my Win10 machine, though the interface is not intuitive.

Link doesn't work. "You don't have permission to access this resource."

It could be a browser issue. Let's see ....
Yesterday, I used chrome to download the file, and I got a warning from chrome: tan3rou_v301e.zip is not commonly downloaded and may be dangerous.
Discard / Keep / Learn more .... --> I just clicked "Keep", and I got the file.

Note: I just tested the links (I provided above) with the Brave browser, and all I got was: " Forbidden
You don't have permission to access this resource. "
