Image viewing speed dependent on cpu or screen resolution

#1 Post by the accountant »

I am using MMCE to view photos. It's faster to view the photos on a Pentium Dual Core duo T8100 than AMD A6-3400, despite the AMD having a higher CPU passmark. The Pentium has a resolution of 1600 x 900 vs the the 1366 x 768. Which would be the primary factor influencing viewing speed?

Thanks

GPU+CPU (equilibrium at its best, but I tend to favor the GPU :) ).

I use Pictus. It is the fastest image viewer I have seen on my low end laptop. Opens 6 mb files within seconds.
