KiTTY update?

#1 Post by webfork »

KiTTY
http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1424

There is now a "portable" version available for download from the website. Has anyone tested this? Should we continue using the regular version with the added config file on the file description?

Also, the program is listed as .60 but I think we should change it to the full version numbering the site uses (currently 0.60.66.27). Still, the last version was posted back in May of this year and I don't know when this note was originally posted. It will show up as an update on the front page if I change the version number, which might not be accurate.

(This isn't something I'm desperate to know, just something I came across today.)

I to vote for changing the Version Number from V0.60 to the full Version.

Entry updated.

The site offers a "portable" version, but I'm going to maintain the old kitty.ini file creation technique described here.

Why the choice to keep the normal version in database (that needs to create the ini file) instead of the official portable version?

No reason really -- need to test the other version and update the entry. Just extra work for something that didn't seem to have much interest.
