Sysinternals AutoRuns

#1 Post by ClausValca » Tue Dec 18, 2007 12:15 pm

[Moderator note: this is the primary Sysinternals AutoRuns program thread. View database entry]

----

AutoRuns for Windows v9.0 -

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysi ... 63902.aspx
This major update to Autoruns shows an entry’s raw launch string in its image details area, lists Explorer and IE COM classes names and icons, is aware of several more autostart locations, including additional shell extensions, Windows Vista scheduled tasks and Windows Vista Sidebar gadgets, and has better support for alternate online search engines
Sounds awesome! :D

It's always been near the top of my top-ten portable tools list.

These features should really augment the utility's effectiveness.

Why? Nothing much has changed, AFAIK. I use Process Explorer and Autoruns from time-to-time.

Edit
The developers doesn't think it is needed to update the version number at his web-site, nor does he seem to be interested in keeping a change log.
