New version was just released (6.14.1785), however I get a runtime error in XP SP3. Posted a bug report here with screenshots:
http://synwrite.sourceforge.net/forums/ ... 7656#p7656

Below is the changelog for the new version:
6.14.1785

+ If you reinstall PluginManager (from PluginManager), new item "PluginManager - Update" will appear. Plugin Updater. Uses local files "install.inf" and "v.inf" (install.inf created by not old Synw; v.inf created by new PluginManager+Synw).
+ lexer C: redone tree
+ lexer VBS: folded for..next

OK. Just be aware of the issue. There is another user who has complained about the same problem with the installable version in Win7. I'm sure the developer will fix this soon.

No I cannot see this bug-Can't fix so. XP clean install is ok here (installed Synwrite.exe)
Any DLL conflict? Python installation?

If you click the bug report link in my earlier post above, it appears the launch error was possibly limited to my specific setup. The problem disappeared on a reboot, and I never saw the problem for a clean install on another PC.

The developer moved the bug report to the issues solved section although another user continues to experience errors with Win7. I don't see the error anymore with XP. I think a reboot is what solved it. Anyway, here is the thread for the issue:
