Very old topic update: for lack of a better choice, I'm making the present the official forum topic for iDailyDiary (http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=219)...

The iDailyDiary editor is "richtext" with the ability to insert graphics, URL's, Hypertext links and links to other diary pages. iDailyDiary is fully searchable so you can always track down those important dates and reminders.

Need to retest this one, I had unfortunately bad experience in the past with this one and forgot about it. I was sad as it was a pretty neat and good looking software. I am giving a second chance and retest it. Problem I had was it crashed here and then due to moving files between entry and since smaragdus post it seems to be fixed. I lost the database also twice for no apparent reason after random crash or freeze... the application was not responding but I found why at that period of time. Cannot remember the solution I applied thought. Anyway time to retest this little software and hopefully it is a polished gem now.

@tactictoe
I will test the professional version of iDailyDiary (I don't like limited editions) and if it happens to impress me I will purchase it. It seems that there aren't many good free diary programs. RedNotebook looks interesting but for some unknown reason it fails to run on my system (it crashes immediately after I start it). I recently tried Hazama which I reviewed here but it lacks two simple features the developer refused to implement.

May I suggest you also have a look at In My Diary for your purpose? (http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/ ... hp?t=16899; http://www.inmydiary.co.uk/)

@Midas
Thanks for your suggestion, I tested In My Diary in the past but I didn't like the interface.

Looks very much like an old software I used to enjoy... Lotus note. At least one of it's early version.

Thanks for the info anyway, :)
