PStart is a GREAT GREAT program.
I have used it for a very long time and LOVE IT.
BUT .... for all the good things in the latest version (2.10), I DO NOT LIKE the 'Run all items in a Group'.
I can see why some people would find this useful; in my case one double click and I can have 15 apps running.
Surely this has got to go!!
Or as a compromise - a setting change.
Or perhaps there is a hidden setting somewhere ?!
What do others think?

I concur, the whole 15-20 programs opening at once is very frustrating, and i used to always double click to open folders so it's hard to break the habit.

Yes i also dont like the ability to run everything in a group....just today it froze my computer for 5 minutes with about 20+ apps loading when i forgot


If someone knows a way to keep all the other new stuff but turn that off let us know

Add a flag to the groups, allowing the end user to designate which groups can start all programs and which can't. That would allow the functionality to be used by those who want/need it and bypassed by those who don't want an 'accident'.

I too have been using PStart for years, on multiple machines.

It just works, with a minimum of fuss.

Sorry, I did never test the new "run group" feature with large groups. PStart 2.11 fixes the problem by

a) not allowing to run all items by a group with double click or enter key any more (only via menu) and

b) asking for confirmation before executing all items

I'll probably add some group settings later to select certain groups to have this feature only, but this should do for a quick fix.

I can see times when running a group would be useful...

But the doing it on accident and not being able to expand on double click was....annoying
It was bad enough to make me just use the tray icon to launch stuff so i wouldnt forget again
