The windows download is an installer, although it can be readily (Uni)extracted for the service executable ('elogd.exe') to be run directly (see below). Settings are kept in the program folder.

With these shortcuts, the daemon elogd.exe can be started directly and the demo logbook can be accessed with the browser. Alternatively, the elogd.exe daemon can be registered as a service under Windows NT/2000/XP, so it gets started automatically when windows boots. This can be selected during installation or be done manually with the start menu shortcuts.
