I created a yaP config for Openscad a while back, which could perhaps be added to the list. I'm fairly new at this yaP thing so by all means alter it if necessary

Ableword (portable) by yaP failed the VirusTotal test in 2017 ... 18 threats
I tested it again today (same problems)

Thanks for reporting, bawldiggle.

Also, it seems our dear tproli got fed up waiting for people (us, mostly, I presume... ) to stop using his http://rolandtoth.hu/yaP/ redirect to http://yap.rolandtoth.hu/ -- the examples database is still up at the latter but all our TPFC links back to them are now obsolete.

I'll see what I can do to the list in OP. Please be patient.

FYI, the problem affects not Ableword but the yaP launcher executable used to turn it portable.

Unfortunately, despite the unusually high number of engines flagging it, I can assure everyone this is yet another case of false positives...

I submitted both my copies of the old downloads of yaP v0.7[.1.5] executables to Virtustotal and, while the 32-bit pointed back to the results you posted, the 64-bit was only flagged by a single engine. Mind you, the "Community score" is still in the green.

Now, I never had any trouble whatsoever in my long history of using yaP for portability -- but it can't be 100% excluded that other people are using a freely available unsigned binary for malfeasance.

Downloaded a fresh "AbleWord" from http://yap.rolandtoth.hu/#examples
Ableword has a bug, but I cannot find where to report it on the "yaP" website

..... the INI file is intact !

That path looks odd from here: unless you change 'AbleWordPortable.ini', all Ableword files -- namely 'AbleWord.exe' -- have to be placed in an 'App' sub-folder of the one where yaP's 'AbleWordPortable.exe' resides...

3,500 folders on D:\ ... 50 % approx are portable, and they all worked
Ableword spits out the "alert" when I run AbleWordPortable.exe

That error just means yaP couldn't find the executable to launch.

I downloaded the yaP launcher and AbleWord, tested them and everything is working fine here.



Mind you, my launcher files were renamed but that's all...

All yaP config URLs in OP program's list changed from 'http://rolandtoth.hu/yap/configs/' to 'http://yap.rolandtoth.hu/configs/'.
