List of programs made portable by yaP

Before anything, let a thousand thanks flow to tproli for making and maintaining such a priceless resource.

The present list is meant to prevent duplicate searches to find programs that, although not natively portable, can easily be rendered so with the help of yaP launcher (for further info, check http://yap.rolandtoth.hu/ and viewtopic.php?t=5698).

NOTICE: as development of yaP has stalled for quite some time, I have kept myself busy trying to compile the available info into Wiki form.

Please bear in mind it's all very alpha, ATM; I need to implement some kind of pop-up for keywords, macros and variables details, but I'm having trouble wrapping my head around Fandom's implementation of CSS. Any help appreciated, just post here or PM me if interested and I'll gladly hand out editing privileges.

Wow, that's a great list! Hope you didn't made it by hand :)
I can easily make a list like this automatically if there's a need.

It's a nice idea, one can find it by name when doing a search. Thanks for posting!

I'm so glad you liked it. I didn't do it entirely by hand, after scrapping your page, I used a text editor replace function and some rather basic regex foo... :mrgreen:

What I'm worried now is about how to keep it updated. Any suggestions?

I can generate a full listing but that doesn't solve the post update feature here, that needs to be done by hand.

An iframe embed could work (which would provide full automatic update), but for that a custom bbcode needs to be implemented on the forum, so it is not working atm.

Couldn't it be a diffing list? In a new post here with the format above? I'd then do the needed updates in the list above.

That would be a good start...

I actually did a list by hand (and pen) :oops:
I find it relaxing indeed to write anything cool in my paper notebook, I also like to analyze others handwriting to understand more their personality, it would be quite interesting to get to see what your handwrittings (i.e. code) looks like. I hope yaPed apps list keeps growing with useful gem freeware. :roll:

My handwriting is just terrible since I write everything with keyboard. Sometimes I create mockups on paper for websites but I often can't read my own notes later :)

@tproli: I guess the faster gets the mind the fastest gets the hand to write but the hardest to read what you write, the good news is you're becoming a doctor at web design, lol.
Anyway if your handwriting is rather large than small you're clear on your ideas and if it slants towards the right you're adventurous rather than shy (to the left) or formal (straight), ligatures are a sign of hardworking dedicated people. This is going to be a large thread since NEAT PORTABLE FREEWARE APPS is what's all about, thx for yaP, gaP and everything that has a capital "P" :)

Its rather small, but since my life has gone "digital", I almost forgot how to write by hand. But it's not just me, many others around me :)
