(As timely noted by billon,) Wget for Windows current release is v1.17.1 (latest official upstream changelog is at http://savannah.gnu.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=8422; official Windows binaries and patches can be downloaded from https://eternallybored.org/misc/wget/; also, Wget official FAQ can be found at http://wget.addictivecode.org/FrequentlyAskedQuestions).

OTOH, latest official cURL release is in fact v70.46.0 (changelog is at http://curl.haxx.se/changes.html; downloads are at http://curl.haxx.se/download.html).

FYI, AWGG, a GUI frontend for Wget and cURL was recently posted here at TPFC forums (see viewtopic.php?t=22389).

A native Windows alternative for Curl just crossed my path: nugget (aka curly). Nugget's more outstanding feature is its integration with VirusTotal.
