Registry Monitor

#1 Post by Magibon »

Hi, is there a program that can detect what registry entries have been added from an application?

I tried RegShot but don't understand how to read such a large text file.
someone mentioned use UndoReg, but it freezes and does not work for me.

Is there a good app. that can list registry entries that are created from the app. and not from the Operating System?

There's a patched version of Regshot which writes the log file in NT4 Registry File Format.
This makes it alot easier to read.
It also filters out alot of the 'noise' the system creates (configurable in ini), also allows the use of system variables in file paths.

If you're interested you can find it here:
Homepage: http://www.paraglidernc.com/plugins/regshot.htm
Download page: http://www.paraglidernc.com/plugins/plugins.htm
Download direct: http://www.paraglidernc.com/Files/RegShot1820b.cab

You'll need 7-Zip to open the archive, the files are in the 'Files' folder.

Also, I posted about Primo (PRogram Installation MOnitor) - a Regshot fork, here.
