WIA (Windows Image Acquisition) Loader is a great tools to load images from Digital Camera's and memory cards, much better than the basic Windows version!

I found it here: http://www.ghacks.net/2010/11/29/wia-lo ... ard-to-pc/

The portable version can be downloaded from here:
http://www.mortara.org/en/software/windows/71

The program requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or better. :(

Have fun with it!

Old topic update: WIA-loader v1.8.6.0 released (no changelog, but DotNET dependency is now v4+).

Download "portable" from http://www.mortara.org/apps-software/wi ... ia-loader/ (German page but program interface is in English).

Last updated back in February, now at 1.9.9.4 beta

Unfortunately in my testing, some of the program is partly English, partly German:

Notably, although the program works with external devices, it can also import images from anywhere on your computer, meaning it could also be configured as a standard batch image conversion tool.
