IP Traffic Spy allows you to easily watch the data that is being passed back and forth from your computer and other computers on the internet or network. This is accomplished by reading the raw TCP/IP packets that are processed by your network adapter and displaying them in a user friendly fashion.

Uniextract the installer. The application files are in {app} folder, delete AutoUpdate files (optional) and run ISpy.Exe

Old topic update: IP Traffic Spy latest release is v1.0.0.8, dated 2017-07-24 (changelog and downloads at www.networkdls.com /Software/Release/View/IP_Traffic_Spy/1008).

Regrettably, ISpy.exe v1.0.0.8 does not run under Win XP. ("Not a valid Win32 application")

Shame, really...considering the current release notes look fairly interesting:

Added identification of 10 protocols: in addition to TCP and UDP we added ICMP, IGMP, GGP, ST, CBT, EGP, IGP, PUP, IDP and RDP.
Added filtering on protocol type.
Added filtering on inbound, outbound and broadcast packets.
Fixed issue with the [change connection] menu click sometimes taking a long time to complete.

Anyone tried former versions under XP?

That's just awful isn't it?! Microsoft is killing off its older Operating Systems pretty quickly with much help from the fact that applications compiled against the later versions of the Windows SDK not being backwards compatible. The good news is that the source compiles just fine with older SDKs and runs just fine (especially so with the 32-bit compilation) on older version of Windows.

for the benefit of die-hard Win XP users, pretty please ?

ISpy.exe v1.0.0.9 (link date 01-DEC-20180 01:14) extracted from Ispy_portable_W2003_32bit.zip
runs like a charm under WinXP Pro SP3 Build 5.1.2600
