Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

TP109 wrote:Interesting info. I use ver 1.41 always checked the changelogs with each revision for this app, suspecting that it would eventually go the RadioSure route or start including some type of adware. Although not surprised at this news, I am shocked at the way they went about it. I agree that sneaky and dishonest accurately describe this situation. I'm voting this down too.
I dumped TapinRadio about a year ago when it was still hosted at
http://tapinradio.com/wp/ (
Archive). I think it was at version 1.20 then when the Website was suddenly down (404) and the stations database did not update anymore. This was done deliberately because of a dispute between people involved in the project (one of which was Raimersoft). There were a few other issues concerning TR that I did not like. It was pretty clear to me that they did not care about the users. Glad I followed my gut feeling.

So the best revenge would be finding a better freeware right?
What would all the unsatisfied former Tapin Radio users suggest?

I use RadioSure. Otherwise I would get radio station urls manually and listen radios in any audio player. For example in AIMP3, creating a new radio playlist.

Same here.I use the version listed in the DB.
I extracted the radio station files from the latest installer and everything still works fine.
I have thought about buying it tho just cuz of some of the extra features.
I dont know if its legal but I get almost all my music from RadioSure nowadays.
I also use Xion to play a station every now and then.

So RarmaRadio is "absolutely free", I would hope in "free as in beer", whatever (There is 3 different players and only the most basic version is payware? :O).
I'm trying it out right now in Sandboxie - Just 5 minutes in and I think it has the best interface of all the players I've tried and last.fm support is a plus.
Is it portable, I don't know... How do you test this things, I mean thoroughly? I'm thinking a JauntPE launcher would be good enough.
[Edit]
If you stop the installer from connection to the internet you won't get any adware offers.

I see no problem with their latest version (1.60.1 portable), but I still won't use it.
