Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

Wolfghost,

You've jumped right in and added some good programs this week. I did some editing on this one, and I thought I'd let you know why.

The "how to extract" section for this one is complicated, since the installer is embedded in a self-extracting installer. It's best to follow the standard formats whenever possible, so I combined elements of the standard instructions for each method (when Universal Extractor is required, that link to the FAQ is important).

Dependencies are generally only software (dlls, frameworks, etc.), not things like network access.

It only saves settings if you hit the "Save settings" button (after which you choose a location for the settings file). For our purposes, that means it doesn't save settings. It does save the example of the background and text color formatting to the application folder, but that's not really a setting - it doesn't use that formatting the next time you run it.

Keep up with the great submissions! I like this web gallery creator, and it's a pity they bill it as a "thumbnail creator". It has much more flexibility for the output than MobaPhoto <http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1458> does, but it lacks the javascript/lightbox effect and a file selector.

Jalbum is the king of web gallery creation software, IMO. It requires Java, but that's portable enough for me. You can get it here: http://jalbum.net/software/download/current/all-systems - choose Jalbum for anything (.jar for any Java enabled system). Now that we can vote to approve apps, I might add it and see if a Java app can get in.

Ah, that's what I meant by the "example of the background and text color formatting" which is not really a setting. Granted, changing it was a bit picky on my part - no one's likely to be disappointed (or very surprised) to find that it doesn't save all of its settings automatically. :)

Very True! Check out his list http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?q=[Wolfghost]. Also it might be a small thing but personally I prefer the V before the version i.e. V1.0 :)

I don't know what other people think.
