Here's a small and simple application to create pdf files from images. Supports JPG,PNG,BMP,GIF & TIFF files apparantly. I don't know how it performs with high resolution tiff files. I've not tried any other image to pdf creators. But, this one seems worth mentioning.

You don't see too many portable PDF apps, and this is a nice one. Voted!

Fabian: you can't just post one site that does it all. I wouldn't even put LibreOffice (which can convert more file formats that convertio) under every forum that mentions a file type.

Policy-wise, since the convertio site looks like a legit online application, I don't mind it being on the site, but posting about ONLY one site for EVERY use is pointless. It makes us think you work for convertio so posting about it further would be considered spam and would get you banned.

More to the point, I tested a few of the operations with the program and it wasn't good:

1. The PDF to DOC converter and it's almost total crap
2. The PDF to JPG converter had extremely low DPI and there's no way to change that (there are no settings)
3. The RTF to PDF tool was the only thing that even sort of worked

Edit: I went ahead and deleted your PDF to DOC converter post just because that function is essentially a joke.

An alternative to i2PDF, with the additional benefit of image thumbnails. While it's as simple as i2PDF, somehow they decided on a terrifically bad color palate.



Note that I'm generally less interested in interface quality versus whether or not something works reliably but folks on the forums have been discussing interfaces a lot lately.

Don't want to make this a big issue but I must disagree with you.
Let's generalise.
1. The virus shown is actually a real virus
The Av company blocks it (hopefully). I'd expect the Software house to remove it. Removal is NOT up to the AV company.
2. The virus is a fp. It is up to the Software house to deal with it. In my experience they deal with it either by contacting the AV company and trying to get an exclusion or they recompile their code in some way having identified the underlying problem.

In both cases the Software house is the initial point of contact.

What I think is that if there is a false positive the antivirus company should remove it from its definitions. Once I used Avast and I fairly often came upon false positives. I sent samples (submission was easy) to Avast and within 24 hours (in most cases- within several hours) I got response from Avast confirming that my sample was really a false positive and promising that with the next definitions update it would not be detected as malware any more. For me this is the normal behaviour.

I totally disagree with such an attitude- I do not think that a developer should tweak the code because a stupid antivirus (in this case- the absolutely horrible Windows Defender) detects the program as malware. This is wrong- the antivirus companies are responsible for false positives, not the developers.
