NexusImage - lightweight image viewer [discontinued]

#1 Post by Napiophelios »

NexusImage is a simple (and portable) image viewer program.

Main features:

* Supported Images: JPEG, Bitmap, GIF, PNG, TIFF, ICO, WMF, EMF
* Light-weight program: There are only a few functions. So it's small and simple

System Requirement: Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista
License: Freeware

All settings are contained in app folder
Has an optional sidebar for scrolling thru a folders images
Much sleeker gui than beta1.
Just unzip and its ready to use.

Look around there are a couple other noteworthy apps that are easily portable on this site.:)

NexusImage has released the beta3.

I still prefer the simple/original v1 as opposed to the beta releases,
but the modernized looks aint bad for folks with newer systems
that like "eyecandy".

I only wonder why they emulate the "PAF" style folder structure
for saving settings..I kinda liked the good 'ole single ini file next to the exe myself.

V1.0.4 was released.

Are you going to add it to the database? NexusFile and NexusFont are already in the database.

Wow perfectly good image viewer ruined.
I really dont like the new features added.
I dont need my desktop dimmed to view an image
and I really dont need the extra baggage of an updater.
The app wont even start if you ditch the skin folder.

I am sticking with the first version 1.0
Just the ini file and an exe is all I need. 8)

I have had it as my default image viewer for some time but
if I need to "browse" my photos nothing beats FSImageViewer.

Voted.

To change the 'Desktop Dim Level' one could either pres Alt +D or right click and choose 'View' and then 'Desktop Dim Level'. Adjust the level with the help of the slider :) .
