Hello, I think MP3BookHelper is probably portable.

It can be found on:
http://mp3bookhelper.sourceforge.net/

It's opensource GNU/GPL app. It can edit MP3 tags and much more

Best Regards

Check out mp3bookhelper.
http://mp3bookhelper.sourceforge.net/

It is THE most advanced and complete MP3 Tagging tool that I have come across.

The feature list is very impressive. Possibility to use regex for example.
http://mp3bookhelper.sourceforge.net/no ... ures.shtml.

I use it on a day to day basis.

It writes settings to the application folder, registry is not touched at all.

Follows the install, copy, delete some files, uninstall precedure

Regards,
Schokojoe

Posted to the database, thanks! By the way, Universal Extractor can be used to grab the files without the need for an installation, which has been noted in the database entry.

Ancient thread update:

New website: https://sourceforge.net/projects/mp3bookhelper/

Hasn't been updated in MANY years but advertises functionality on Ogg / Speex files. "Create support files for audiobook NFO, SFV, PAR, M3U. Test file base on SFV and PAR."

Just for reference, Fluffy added it to the database here: https://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=838
