I found that extracting the installation with Universal Extractor, this is portable: writes the settings to an .ini file in the "app" directory.

From the site:
Analog Clock is an analog, skinnable, Windows tray clock replacement.

I'm afraid that the "easy" answer is that the look you want belongs to another program, Atomic Alarm Clock , http://www.drive-software.com/atomicalarmclock.html

But Atomic Alarm Clock isn't freeware ($29:95), it creates an autostart and it writes an ini to Documents and Settings\ ... \Application Data.

What about that "Analog Clock is trying to inject code into C:\Windows\Explorer.EXE" (from ZoneAlarm firewall)? Can it still be regarded as portable?

Alt, free and less feat : http://www.drive-software.com/freedesktopclock.html

Not portable, but can make it into "No Installer App" with InnoUNP or UniExt.v1.6

Actually, those screenshots are taken from the "analog clock" website....

But I can't find how to use them, either...

To MarcoNovaro: Yes, they are, but under the new header "Digital Clock", and a click on the image opens "http://www.drive-software.com/atomicalarmclock.html".

To Schumi: It seems that this is the same prog as Atomic Clock, but with much fewer functions. There is no alarm, no calendar, no time zones or time syncronization. Some skins, but essentially nothing more.

It's not "stealth/"polite", but settings are portable. I love it for displaying the date in a single line on my (screen-real-estate-saving) narrow taskbar.

I'm looking into seeing if a friend can add an alarm to Trayclock one of the apps on Tinyapps.org

It sits in the systray as an analog clock, mouseover gives the date and time in digital. I'd like it to have a way to set an alarm to play a sound file in a program I specify with any command line switches I specify. Options for multiple alarms and recurring alarms would be nice too.

Currently I'm using this clock in place of the windows taskbar clock.
