Topic update: TPFC database now lists K-Meleon v0.76G(oanna?) release (and the changelog points to https://rtfreesoft.blogspot.com/search/label/browser).

K-Meleon versioning and development remains as murky as ever, the main reason an otherwise very relevant browser option remains sated in obscurity, IMHO...

To recap:
  • roytam1's -- the current K-Meleon's developer -- weekly builds repo: https://o.rthost.win/kmeleon/
BTW, the current latest build is 'KM76.4.7-Goanna-20230610.7z'.

Midas,

Hope you are well...

I totally agree with you - there's still some dev cycle uncertainty with this app. I still follow the releases on John's Portable Apps site as he does update the portableapps package periodically.

To make this a viable browser option, the UI definitely needs a facelift and updates to the core code may address some of the HTML5 limitations (Goanna?); some pages do not load properly. On the plus side, it is lightweight compared to Google Bloat (a.k.a. Chrome) and Firefox.

Naturally, I'm always on the lookout for something better. For now, I'll continue to use LibreWolf (locked down FF variant) for my personal browsing until I find the next great thing :)

Cheers!

I've kind of stopped playing around with K-Meleon as it's still running an outdated version of Gecko. There's no point in testing browsers based on outdated browser engines unless you're using limited hardware running on Windows XP/Vista/7.
is it stealth? ;)

Doesn't seem to matter how many updates K-Meleon gets, it's always crashing and/or throwing SSL errors for sites that are fine in every other browser. I don't have much time for it at the moment I'm afraid.
