A nice little piece of software which I found when viewing https://www.ghacks.net/2008/06/29/how-m ... n-running/

Registry Entries - NO (Checked with Nirsoft's RegFromApp)
Application Data - Is stored where ever the application is run
Details - CrystalDiskInfo is a HDD/SSD utility which supports S.M.A.R.T.
* Easy-to-understand user interface
* Monitoring health status and temperature
* Graph of S.M.A.R.T information
The software does all the usual monitoring that is available with S.M.A.R.T. but it has an added bonus of telling you how many times the Hard Drive has been turned on and how many hours. Interesting if you swear blind that you don't use you PC that much!!!
