Sad, but true.

If I would be a developer I would release free apps only if I was sure that I wouldn't mind receiving no money from donations, no feedback, no interest in my work. Otherwise I would release only payware apps.

In this case I can say that I really love this app and find it one of the best of its kind. I don't use it every day, but I do on occasion. My fault: never told the author that, never showed any interest, never donated, I just took it for granted and now I have to pay the price... this app will die soon. :(

I changed the download link to the portable version and also the instructions (the .ini file doesn't need editing anymore).

Update: evidently someone said something to change the author's mind. Very glad to see it.

There were some notes in entry from Emka and Guido76 noting the "nagscreen upon exit and opens the product homepage in the system's standard browser." This appears to have been removed in v 8.0.7. I'll keep my eyes open to see if it comes up again.

The program itself is still awesome and looks even better, though (as you can see from my screenshot) there was some difference in the analysis of the two directories. I don't know what that was about.

Wishlist:

* Some kind of breakdown between free and pro features. The website is less than clear on this point http://xinorbis.com/features.htm and -- just looking at the program -- there's no label what's free or pro until you click on it.

I may reach out to the dev on this point as he's been active on this forum before: https://www.portablefreeware.com/forums ... =2&t=21855 ... but I'm a little overloaded at the moment.

Xinorbis is now completely free. So instead of giving me money, please consider giving it to a local cat charity or shelter. Thanks.
also, on opening the program > about (portable x64), it says v8.1.8 from June 15th 2018

@bitcoin
Thanks for the information, Xinorbis is now Catware (it was also announced on Twitter). Xinorbis version 8.1.8 is really unrestricted freeware but unfortunately it freezes and crashes when I try to scan one of my partitions.

Taking a look at the Screenshots section appears all the full-size images are 404'ing, though the thumbnails give enough of an impression I suppose.

Cute license type name :)

The entry was updated to v8.2.1, but the website says v8.1.13 as of June 2019 and the download page says v8.1.10 as of January 2019. What's correct?
