Please review my PimClip program

#1 Post by vmars316 »

Hello & Thanks ;
Would someone please review my PimClip program for admission to your database :

I have written the 'BUTTONS Program Suite' for my fellow Senior Citizens ,
BUTTONS (FAVS , PIM and SORT) .
In all my programs you will find only BUTTONS...
NO MORE searching thru endless arrays of drop-down menus .
Keeping it simple , intuitive and hugely useful , is my goal .

Buttons-PIM is actually two programs , PimClip which runs in stealth mode collecting information , and PimFind which is the Search Engine portion of the Buttons-PIM Suite . Buttons-PIM Suite is a powerful , easy to use , Clipboard based 'Personal Information Manager' (pim) .
PimClip builds a freeform information database of text files , and PimFind is a fast 'Search & Display Engine' .

PimClip is always watching the Clipboard .
Whenever the user 'Copies-Text' to the Clipboard , PimClip opens up a 'Topic Buttons Window' . User can optionally click the 'CANCEL COPY' Button . OR , click on a Topic Button ; this tells PimClip which Topic to save this 'Copied-Text' into . In this sense a Topic is like a File Folder .

Help file can be viewed here : http://vmars.us/freeware/PimClip/PimClip-Help.html
Program images can be downloaded here : http://vmars.us/freeware/PimClip/PimCli ... mages.html

PimClip can be downloaded here :
https://sourceforge.net/projects/pimclip/files/

https://sourceforge.net/projects/pimclip/

Btw: There is a file to help you test out the PimFind program .
It is called : 2020-04-17.txt .
It has some Copied-Text under the 'Topic Button Name' GUITAR .
So search for GUITAR and then add a second search arg of "John" ,
to see the difference it makes is search results .
Thanx

Thanks all : )

Sorry that no one responded. I's just that perhaps it is not within the needs of the active members of the forums.

There's no staff here, only volunteers...

I briefly reviewed the program page and features and, as vevy smartly noted, found it to be outside my current needs and concerns.

Just by posting it here, you ensure PimClip willl get more attention -- and reviews, possibly -- in a foreseeable future. And thank you for sharing it. :grinning:

It depends on how you define senior, if you ask me... I have a hunch that the larger part of TPFC audience is people past their middle-age.
