Disk Operation
Movie Info Search DOES not write to the registry.
Options are saved into an ini file (Options.ini) into the application folder .
Favourite Trailer list (Favourites.lst) are saved into the application folder.
Information and Poster about Movie/Serie are saved in the folder of your choice (Options)

Movie Info Search is 100% clean portable freeware under 2Mb for its 32 and 64 bits version.

Movie Info Search 1.5.5.0 is a lightweight portable utility. Search and save your favorite movies' information and posters or manage a personal offline movie database using this reliable and portable tool.
The role of the application is to allow you to quickly search for movie titles on the popular online databases, such as Rotten Tomatoes, IMDb or YouTube. In case you cannot find what you are looking for there, you can search directly for it on Google. Trailers functionalities are also available (Search, bookmark, management and so on)
Once the application finds your title, it displays the blockbuster's official poster along with all available details, namely the type, genre, rate, run time, release date, actors, director, awards, rating and a summary of the plot to name a few.

It is important to note that Movie Info Search works in both online and offline mode, the latter being limited to the amount of data you save. On a side note, you can save movie data as TXT – the poster as JPEG. It can also create a local HTML album with saved poster and text information about movies and series.

On the other hand, you can use the Manage Info Text and Manage Favorite functions to create a comprehensive catalog or list of the movies you would like to watch in the near future.

Tested! Movie Info Search (MIS) is an interesting utility for retrieval and local storing of movie metadata. Contrary to what I assumed initially, you have to expressly press the "Save" button on the "Options" tab to have MIS create its 'Options.ini' file.

Suggestions:

• - save location should be a subfolder by default (e.g., 'Movies') to make it easy to find and preserve movie information gathered;
  - page setup (margins, at least, since right now MIS bypasses printer selection and just prints everything stuck to the left printer margin);
  - editable relative paths (paths are set via selection dialogs and default to absolute, which might be a problem if using MIS on a USB drive);
  - when MIS is maximized, the "Search Video Online" tab uses less than two thirds of screen to display results and can't be resized (remaining space is used by MIS interface and kept blank);
  - a degree of text template editing/positioning would be really welcome (plus I got the error below with 32-bit MIS on Windows 7 x64 SP1, while trying the "Manage Info Text" option).

Thanks Midas for reporting the error and the review.
Priority work to do:
-Fix the Date error found by Midas if I can replicate it.
-I am also working on the absolute path for USB portability.
-Printing module is basic and I am reviewing it.
-Did not think about Maximize the software. If I did left it as is for manual re sizing.

It address a problem/suggestion discovered by MIDAS.
