WikidPad
Re: WikidPad
In a bizarre versioning decision, v. 2.1_01 has come out (softpedia link).
The WinPenPack version has also been updated to this latest version.
I will also merge the various Wikidpad threads momentarily...

wikidPad TPFC entry permalink: http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=1099
EDIT: as already pointed in a comment at the database entry, the difference between (Uni)extraction and choosing portable with the installer is only the creation of an empty 'export' sub-folder and a 'binInst.ini' with the following content:Only the first and the last of those lines are mandatory for portability. Upon a portable first run, an additional 'WikidPadGlobals' sub-folder will be created. Also of note, 'WikidPad.config' is a plain text file that holds name and path of the last wiki opened...[/color]
Since this is the official forum topic for wikidPad (note the counter-intuitive capitalization), it might be worth pointing that, after an era of wandering about, its current homesite is at http://wikidpad.sourceforge.net/; there you'll find easy guidance for the somewhat excessive choice of versions being offered...
To sum it up, wikidPad's development includes three branches: Stable, Release Candidate, and Beta. The first two are usable by all, with some function wobbling in the RC; Betas are usable too, but the cost of remaining on the bleeding-edge is the increased chance of breaking stuff upon updating. Eventually some bug fixing from the RC or Betas has to be backported to the Stable versions, hence the funny version figures.
To my best knowledge, wikidPad is now natively portable, so official versions should be referenced before derivatives.
P.S.: see below my comment to Softpedia awarding only 3 stars to such an unique yet user friendly program:
