SMath Studio

#1 Post by Enternal »

I wanted to submit this program for a very long time now but just never did. Anyway, now I did!

SMath Studio is a freeware WYSIWYG mathematical notebook program similar to Mathcad. It's able to solve differential equations, graphing with manipulation, matrices, symbolic mathematics, numerical calculations, system of equations, and support programming. Furthermore it's extendable with plugins, support user defined functions, and has built-in support for units.

The mono version is for the Linux version if you're interested. However, I have not tested the Linux version so I'm not really sure if it's stealthy or not or it's just like other Linux programs and save settings into the /home directory. Anyway, thanks!

@Checker, oooh how did you get the icon? I extracted the icon directly and then used a converter to convert it from .ico to .png but it never dealt with the transparency correctly. What software did you use? Or did you just screenshot the icon?

Updated to 0.97.5737. Looks like this software is not interesting enough for it to formally appear in the database for everyone yet... Well I guess most people don't have much use for something this advanced haha.

SMath Studio is a powerfull freeware program that can be compared to red crab, but is fully free with no limitations.
The download can be reached here:

In "UPDATED: Stable: SMath Studio 0.99.6671" you can find the currently stable program for Windows as .msi file and other Versions for Linux.

I use it regulary about once or twice a month. It is very good, much better than red crab, what is limited if you want not to buy it.

SMathPrimer.pdf is a good interactive instruction to get started with how to use the program.
