SlimBrowser (Gecko-based browser)

According to Softpedia,
SlimBrowser (IE/Trident web rendering engine frontend, if I understand it correctly) has a recently updated "portable" version (changelog is at

The current
SlimBrowser version is v7.00 build 108 and it appears good enough to deserve a special "Softpedia Edition" (see

I know it's the same company, but, please, make a separate topic for it; it's easier to manage this way.

As I think
SlimBrowser predates
Slimjet and could find no topic for the former, I guessed it didn't really catch TPFC fancy, so I was just making it a footnote here.
But I have no objection whatsoever to a topic split, if
webfork thinks it's due...

All their browsers deserve separate topics. They are actively developed and have completely different engines (and a nice set of features).

I do. It's been my preference to give every program it's own topic out side of a "lite/full" sort of arrangement. Combining different programs from the same developer has in the past been confusing.

Slimbrowser v11(.0.7.0; released 2019-11-04; changelog at

Confusingly, while the changelog above says
Slimbrowser uses the
Gecko engine (Mozilla/
Firefox) from v11, the
official FAQ still states that it uses
Trident (Microsoft/
IExplorer).

FYI, v16.x is confirmed based on "
gecko engine 95" -- see changelog above.
Natively portable versions (
