According to Softpedia, SlimBrowser (IE/Trident web rendering engine frontend, if I understand it correctly) has a recently updated "portable" version (changelog is at http://www.slimbrowser.net/en/whatisnew.htm):

The current SlimBrowser version is v7.00 build 108 and it appears good enough to deserve a special "Softpedia Edition" (see http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/B ... wser.shtml).

As I think SlimBrowser predates Slimjet and could find no topic for the former, I guessed it didn't really catch TPFC fancy, so I was just making it a footnote here.

But I have no objection whatsoever to a topic split, if webfork thinks it's due...

All their browsers deserve separate topics. They are actively developed and have completely different engines (and a nice set of features).

And there is nothing to worry about the future of SlimBrowser and SlimBoat. We will keep developing and maintaining all the three projects at the same time. We are a small team focused on developing convenient and productive features on top of a browser engine. We don’t want to be tied up to a single engine in case it gets left behind by the others (think of How Nokia fared when it decided to tie itself solely to Windows Phone OS). We will let the big companies compete on the browser engine performance while we simply built features on top of the best engines to maximize user’s productivity.

I truly hope webfork agrees with me.

I do. It's been my preference to give every program it's own topic out side of a "lite/full" sort of arrangement. Combining different programs from the same developer has in the past been confusing.

Topic update: Slimbrowser v11(.0.7.0; released 2019-11-04; changelog at https://www.slimbrowser.net/en/whatisnew.htm).

Confusingly, while the changelog above says Slimbrowser uses the Gecko engine (Mozilla/Firefox) from v11, the official FAQ still states that it uses Trident (Microsoft/IExplorer).
