PlainEdit - text editor

PlainEdit is a text editor for ANSI and ASCII files. PlainEdit supports syntax highlightning for the most script- and programming-languages like PHP, HTML, JS, VBS, CSS, VB, Pascal, C etc. Text can converted to various formats and templates helps by the creation of documents.

PlainEdit is portable by default, but can configured for multi-user systems to.

Language support for English and German.

Having a bit of a blonde moment... how do you change it to English?

The user interface is per default in English. If you change it in the configuration dialog to German, you can change it later in the main menu ("Extras" > "Sprache / Language").

UI defaults to German here and there is no "Extras" > "Sprache / Language" present :?:

You must extract the whole RAR archive, the "language" directory too. :wink:

Thanks but I know how to extract an archive.

I've just visited the download link again and it seems to have been updated, as it now reports as being 593 KB, and my archive is 548 KB. The 593 KB archive includes the language directory.

This is really a very nice program that I can fullheartedly recommend! Have I overseen it, or is it mentioned somewhere that it can handle multiple documents in tabs?

I am using it as default editor with (portable) WinSCP, where the tab-feature saves valuable space on my taskbar when editing several configuration files at the same time.

No, it isn't mentioned in the help file. You can see it only in the screen shot.
