No worries. OpenShot is one of the few programs where I've actually talked to the dev in real life about portability so I'm glad to hear it's working ok.

The program came up on Techradar's video editor best-of:
There's no getting away from the fact that Shotcut has a steep learning curve. It's possible to achieve some impressive results by simply applying one of its many filters to your video, but the real rewards will only be reaped by those willing to invest the time and energy in fully getting to grips with what's on offer.

Shotcut is natively portable if you run shotcut.exe --appdata .\Profile
The profile folder will automatically get created
There are dozens of portable apps in submission forum and you add PortableCrapps sh!t. If you like them so much why don't you go and play mod in their forums? Sorry...

@El Facu: for a first post, that wasn't really respectful of people who have devoted years to this site.

The only reason I approved your post is because you're proposing a portability solution.

To avoid future grief, I'd advise you to watch your words when posting in TPFC forums.

We're all volunteers here, just trying to do what we can to help out freeware devs.

I have updated the entry with the new information, and also added a link in the description to the PA entry (as we normally do for such cases).

On a side note, I am appalled by such behaviour that normally wouldn't occur in the physical world. Let's face it, very few people would behave like total pricks and survive in meatspace (other than Steve Jobs ). The only reason why people do it in abundance on the Internet is because of the anonymity and the lack of meaningful consequence. It speaks volumes about the dark side of human nature when freed of social constraints.

I tested the latest portable version of Shotcut (v23.09.29) with "shotcut.exe --appdata .\Profile". It's not stealth:
