No problem. Glad to.

Also, I saw the note about us on your page. Thanks for that.

Hi,

I've uploaded an updated version of Process History

Thanks

There's no version or changelog visible anywhere for Process History's latest release, even after downloading, making it difficult to update TPFC database entry (https://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=2421). :?

Moreover, although it still displayed in PH "About" dialog box, "process-history.co.uk" now leads to a totally unrelated online shoe business.

Just to dispel any doubts, PH homepage is at http://processhistory.sourceforge.net/ -- and consequently old files can be found at https://sourceforge.net/projects/processhistory/files/...

Further to Midas' shrewd observations...

Changelog: (yes, yes sonny,... there is actually such a beast in disguise...;-) )
https://sourceforge.net/p/processhistory/tickets/

@janstetka

Noticed glaring date discrepancies between Win32/Win64 current versions binaries included in their respective Win64/Win32 packages:

Process History PH64.zip (new version)
ProcessHistory.exe
link date 26-FEB-2017

Process History PH32.zip (old version)
Background32.exe
link date 07-APR-2013
ProcessHistory.exe
link date 30-APR-2013

Midas' version # hint seconded:

It might prove judicious to include an identification number in one (or all) of the appropriate PE version tags:
Product version
File version
Binary version

  • I did see that, but would be really hard pressed to be calling a forum like list of threads a changelog... :o

Quite so...Hence the "in disguise" qualifier...

Hi,

Thanks for spotting the incorrect URL and unchanged version info. I'll update that. I've stopped updating the 32bit version.

Here is a changelog (basically what is written on the first line of the website)

- Easier navigating i.e. over gaps in the processes.
- Most recent processes.
- Combined into one .exe
- More process information i.e. commandlines
- Filtering on executable.
- Process information gathering more reliable

More changes to come to make PH more user friendly.

Cheers
Jan

The download links need to be changed to https://sourceforge.net/projects/processhistory/files/

This is a new version with more efficient drawing

No version info, no changelog? :?

Still, source code is now at https://github.com/janstetka/processhistory...
