Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

Yes I am. The developer is using the Windows Compatibility logos but they must be part of the Windows Logo Program to do so. The benefit is it adds a sense of trust that this has officially been recognised by Microsoft as working with their OS. Don't forget not all PC users are Portable whiz kids like us. :mrgreen:

I think Guinness is talking about the Windows Logo Program linked above which seems to only apply to computer hardware stuff. I don't think you have to worry about it.

Edit: Actually there is a Windows 8 app certification http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library ... 35817.aspx
If you go through that you can maybe get your software listed on the Windows Store.
