I am unable to delete a column since the program will not accept a selection from the dropdown box. On clicking delete a message appears saying that I must select a column. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program to no avail. I am running Windows XP. Any help will be appreciated. JW

I do not know if it is useful observation but I have tried v1.4.4 with no news at all. In my computer, the program does not show any dropdown box in the first 'modify' tab, but a 'window' with small squared checking boxes for all the columns of the file. The only limitation I have seen is 'logical': the program does not allow to delete the column, when in the file there is only a column. If the separator is not set properly(, ; | : etc), when opening a file, you may get apparently just a single column, and then the program will not leave you to delete any column...
Let us see later, what happened.

The database needs an update for CSVed:
http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=1101
Latest version is 1.4.6
In my opinion it's not completely stealth. There are some minor settings in the registry:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\user\current\C:\Users\My Name\My Portable Software\CSVed\seWindow]
"Top"="10"
"Left"="10"
"Width"="380"

I am using CSVed V2.0.1.
I imported a delimited text file into CSVed. It came across OK. But now I want to change the captions of the columns. Instead of Column1, Column2, Column3 etc., I would like to change them to Surname, Name, Address etc.
I can't figure out how to do that. I have looked through the help file, but don't think there is anything in there that tells us how to change (edit) the captions of columns.
Can someone help?
Regards.
