Note: it's stealth after you disable update checking. Workaround: I think you can create an "anyburn.ini" file with the following contents (at least mine looks like this...):

Code: Select all

[Settings]
CheckUpgrade=-2147483648
Hope it wasn't submitted before...I searched...

ImgBurn (I just found out) supports Blu Ray burning, but doesn't have an included ripping program the way this does. Will give it a try -- thanks for posting.

Another review:

Setup:
* Unzip setup file (I used 7-zip)
* Delete $COMMONFILES $PLUGINSDIR $0
* Launch AnyBurn.exe

Added here: http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=2361

Note: there is no need to extract the files from the installer; a portable zip package is provided by the author(s); unless you're using Win98 or Me and you need the file "unicows.dll" provided only with the installer.

Latest version (1.7) of AnyBurn no longer uses the INI, it is now using the registry.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AnyBurn

Sadly I can confirm this. Question is that is that intended or a bug.

Hopefully it's a bug and will be resolved. If not, version 1.6 can still be obtained from here.

The author confirmed me that the last version 1.8 doesn't write in registry.

Anyburn: Is there a way to save the compilation (syn. file list / project)?
Thanks for the help

I just found on archive.org a CD image in the "CDR" format (of the Garbo Repository, 1992) ..... I know, pretty old but they had collections of snippets of code, that I really wanted to see .... No need to reinvent the wheel !
I don't know much about the CDR format, well I mean nothing.
Absolutely no relevant information on the internet :(
But when I clicked on the CDR image, ImgBurn ( https://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=583 ) popped up and offered to burn the image.
I agreed and now I regret, because later, under the effect of a genial revelation, I changed the CDR extension to ISO, and I could open the CD image (any ISO reader would have worked).
I still have no idea of what is the CDR image format, and all I can imagine is that a facetious mind renamed the ISO extension to CDR :?:
And there is no such thing as a CDR image :!:
Anyway, hats off to ImgBurn :D

OOOps, Just now I realize that my post is in the wrong thread. I wanted to mention that ImgBurn and not AnyBurn was able to detect that the content of an image was an ISO, and not be fooled by an "outlandish" extension.

This post should be moved ....
