FileOptimizer 10.10 is available. Just a quick update with no source changes, but with the improvements on installer and distribution, as well as updated plugins:
http://nikkhokkho.sourceforge.net/stati ... eOptimizer

10.10 - 2017/07/28
- Increased NSIS installer dictionary size to 216MB thanks to 4gb_patch by NTCore and upgraded to latest NSIS nightly builds. Size reduced from 96MB to 70MB (maadjordan).
- Repacked portable version is now a 7-Zip EXE SFX instead of a ZIP file. Size reduced from 136MB to 66MB.
- Updated pingo to 0.89 x86 and x64 versions.
- Updated to ECT 0.8.2 (da09899) x86 and x64 daily optimized builds (thanks Malloc Voidstar).
- Updated ImageMagick to 7.0.6.3 with HDRI support.

I have updated nighly builds with some interesting changes to come in next release:
- Added ClearWhenComplete=false INI setting to autoclear file list when optimization completes (Lanette Fidrych).
- Added GIF options tab.
- Added Allow Lossy optimizations checkbox in JPEG tab.
- Reenabled Embarcadero's Luna, Metropolis and Windows 10 themes removed in FileOptimizer 9.10, because they work fine again with Windows 10 Anniversary and later.
- Fixed version display in About window.

This is a welcomed change, I was sad to see them go.

Great news on the updates. Something that might interest you: for users focused on web speeds like this one, FileOptimizer is a huge help. I hope it's popularity continues to increase.
Size reduced from 136MB to 66MB.
That's impressive. billon updated the entry.

FileOptimizer 11 is on the works, with nice features and improvements.

Big difference in the Options window, many more new settings, but also reestructured to make them more intuitive:

Don't like the sound of this one, there's nothing worse than nagging popups of this nature. I'll remain optimistic for now, but as a user I don't need to be constantly reminded of anything when I use a program.

Also your images are broken.

I do not like the reminder neither, but unfortunately is needed. Sadly, donations are less than 0,05% of the downloads. This means that if 10,000 people download FileOptimizer, only 5 decide to donate. As oposite, support request for FileOptimizer, are increasing, in a ratio which is about 10 times the donations.

At the moment it is an experiment, and is very conservative, the reminder will appear after 10 real FileOptimizer executions. So no constant nag will appear. I will adjust it later to happen less or more frequently.

Images in the post come from Twitter, they should display OK. At least to me, they show properly.

This is something I'm extremely familiar with. Donations are very low in relation to the number of users for almost all freeware programs. I definitely acknowledge that issue.

I hope you can find a different route.

Keep in mind that we will label your program "nagware" and some users won't even test it out. There's used to be a whole freeware site dedicated to this called "nonags".

On the images, this is what I see....

And when I quote him I see this;

Maybe it's a Firefox thing or just uBlock blocking something, don't really care though...

Then I will remove the reminder, so can it be still freeware.

I would be fine with a one time popup on first launch that had a little message like "if you enjoy my work... blah blah, consider a small donation to help keep this project alive and well... blah blah." Not sure if doing this would still be considered nagware according to this site, but it wouldn't bother me as a user, but a constant reminder would.

I don't have a clear definition but two places where the topic was discussed:

https://www.portablefreeware.com/forums ... 832#p51832
https://www.portablefreeware.com/forums ... 111#p57111

... and I can see some exceptions such as occasional reminders of how many programs have been compressed since the program was first run or some non-intrusive note about supporting development.

I will consider this, about the files compressed, and of course, do not raising it on every launch.

Call for donations can also be placed in program's Splash Screen and About Dialog...
