#1 Post by Jainendra »

Hello friends,

Here I present another portable marvel recently found.
It is one of the most beautiful and effecient web browser I have come across. Please give it a try and let me know your response.

Download zip package here
http://www.ioage.com/en/download.htm

It writes all its settings in an .ini file in the same folder as exe.You can also create "Skin" and "Plugin" folders and put respective items in them after downloading from site.

Enjoy !!!
Keep smiling !!! :D

Looks great to me!
I agree that configuring the adfilter is bit annoying and there is work to be done concerning a help file. (the forum is in chinese language!)
But the first impression is very good and it's portable, small and has many great features. Thanks for the hint :D . I will definitely keep using it.

Version 3.2.0.9 is available as zip: http://www.ioage.com/twen/download.html

Don't know if still portable, although somewhere on the website they claim so.

Its IE based and claims quite a few features under the hood (better security, doesn't crash as much, manages resources better).

Evidently they also make a Chrome-based version as well, although I can't find it on their website.

Topic update: as Emka previously noted, TheWorld Browser v3.5.0.3 released (available changelog up to v3.3.0.8 is at http://www.theworld.cn/twen/uplog.html) -- but the Chinese homepage (http://www.theworld.cn/; Chinese changelog at http://www.theworld.cn/v7/notes.html) makes v7.0.0.106 available for download.

@Midas
Your screen-shot looks good but it is misleading, from the screen-shots at Softpedia I can see that the latest version of TheWorld Browser is just another useless Chrome clone.

This is an official screenshot for the old v3.0 from the English homepage. Thanks for checking anyway. 8)

Here's a screenshot from Softpedia:

TheWorld v7 is running on Chromium v48.0.2564.116, which is a little older than what is currently out (Google Chrome is on v55 at the moment).

Haven't tested this browser, so I cannot confirm its portability.

A 3rd-party portable version can be found on a Russian blog:
http://effect8.ru/soft/browsers/theworl ... table.html

That blog also lists a bunch of browsers I've never heard of before :)
is it stealth? ;)
