Nestopia - NES/Famicom emulator

Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

Nestopia 1.35

Nestopia is a portable, open source NES/Famicom emulator.

It claims to be portable, as it write settings to its configuration file and supports relative paths.

It´s open source...

I tried this one and it was NOT portable. I think they're talking about OS-portable, which means it's easy to port to Linux, OSX, etc. Not only that but FCEU blows it out of the damn water. :)

Yes, I know the difference :)

What is strange that in that forum they debated about the fact that this application doesn´t use the registry... maybe it depends on the release. :roll:

Anyway in the database there is already Mame32, which is good...

By now this software has been replaced with Nestopia UE which is portable as in Stealth.

It's similar to FCEUX except it has netplay.

I think you should include Nestopia UE.
