Internet Download Accelerator

Submit portable freeware that you find here. It helps if you include information like description, extraction instruction, Unicode support, whether it writes to the registry, and so on.

Internet Download Accelerator

Internet Download Accelerator Portable 5.10.1 free

http://download.westbyte.com/ida/IDA_Portable.zip
http://download1.westbyte.com/ida/IDA_Portable.zip

Internet Download Accelerator resumes broken downloads from where they left off from both HTTP, HTTPS and FTP servers.
The acceleration is achieved by splitting a file being downloaded into several parts and downloading these parts at the same time.

Features: http://www.westbyte.com/ida/index.phtml ... ng=English

Altough traces it doesn' t store anything to the registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\2vg\Internet Download Accelerator\Remote Download Plugin
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Altaruine

But
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\EXECryptorTestKeys
is not empty. The same in HKEY_USERS ....

It works great on my opinion. With portable browsers even better!

For those who didn't understand, like me the first time, here is the detailed procedure:

site: http://tinypaste.com/
sharecode: d5adfd

Note that you have to use the X-Launcher!
PORTABLE!

This whole thread gets a big "huh?" as well. What the hell are you talking about?

You're welcome to post about whatever you want and I'm sure that this information is valuable to someone. However, if you'd like to get a response of some kind, I'd add some more explanation, exactly how to use these sharecodes in the imageshack or tinypaste sites that don't have a clear way to enter them.

The yfrog site doesn't appear to have anything to do with anything.

Why couldn't this information have been included here on TPFC?

To see the page on tinypaste you have to load the page twice because of ads. The ini on tinypaste is an example for using the x launcher with every kind of app that leaves traces in the registry; because of license you have to use it by your own and so on. I found the launcher excellent and fully configurable. You could use it with uTorrent which leave traces in the registry and in AppData ( for example ). I think it's better to use this instead of waiting for someone else app.

I split the link to avoid somebody could complain about something.
Note that you could rename the launcher as you like it. The ini as well.
If I was an expert on AutoIt, I would have done it long time ago.
For example: the launcher of µTorrent V3.0 Build 25406 didn' t remove the Cache folder in Documents and Settings\User Name\Local Settings\Application Data\uTorrent\ and neither the reg entries when you closed the app; now it has been rewritten.

With the universal launcher you can do what you want if you are able to write properly the ini. As pointed out above it' s for personal use and you cannot distribute the bundle.

In the FREE version of IDA you have only the first two keys to remove from the registry HKCU ... 2vg and Altaruine, so I think it's better to use the launcher to do an excellent ( read portable ) work ( for personal use ).

The last .ini tested and perfectly working:

Site: http://pastebin.com/
Sharecode: L8CEeQh5

; because I' m tired not to use "portable" Apps just because they write to the registry or in AppData; f.e.: Opera, ProcessLassoPortable, AusDiskdefragPortable, GoodSync2Go, (RegistrarRegManager) and so on ...
