Hi Danix, it's an honour that you look by! ;)

I can't even find TB 2 Beta on TB's homepage, and portableapps.com doesn't have it either, yet. Seems, one has finally to register on your site to get it! Cunning!!!! Well, I don't use TB anyway! :lol:

Apologies: it's either "call by" or "drop by" in the English language! No such term as "look by" in English, my dictionaries just told me! I still think there should be, though! ;) My bad! The internet is sure a fine place to improve and enrich the English language still some more! :lol:

@Checker

Been waiting for that one. Due to a coincidence, I had got it before I saw your posting. I like to keep my apps up to date and your postings are often very helpful, so I would like to do like Stone Table did in another thread and thank you for keeping us up to date. Happy New Year!

Thunderbird Beta 3

This isn't ready for average users, but I think most of the folks here on PFC can handle beta software. Like most new software Mozilla puts out, it breaks all the old plugins with the exception of (at this writing) Adblock Plus. This might be worth losing some of those plugins as the interface improvements are excellent.

Thunderbird news

Not very encouraging for the mail client preferred by most...
Mozilla is not stopping Thunderbird, but wants to move to a Thunderbird release and governance model which is providing the email client with security and stability maintenance, and community-driven innovation and development, updates.

Indeed, very sad. And disappointing.
