How come? The latest version is 7.04a.
TC 7.50 is in closed beta stage now and it's either impossible to obtain or somehow illegal.

If you click the link, it says 7.05, which doesn't even exist.

I don't have a VM here and I'm scared to run it. ;)

I did (just out of curiosity) and it's version 7.04.

Useless topic ...

Edit: I thought this topic is just another "drive by" but as it turns out, om4gus is a nice guy ... sorry!

If the program doesn't contain any crapware, it's not useless. Many people, especially newbies, like extended TC packs. But it should be placed in the payware section.

Hmmm, I'm a new bie anyway, and then this is my first post in this forum. And this is my mistakes. First, It's not freeware, but shareware software for 30 days, and then we have to pay it if we use in same computer. And then this is not 7.5 but 7.04, may be my mind mistakenly with a new version 7.05 that will be launched. http://www.ghisler.com/whatsnew.htm.

So, Sorry for my mistakes and my bad english, but, I thought that this program is useful for me, so I want to share it to anyone else. That's what I do now.

@om4gus

You're using notepad 2 in this which may be a good editor but isn't portable.
You might want to try a different plugin.

As far as I can check Notepad2 is portable:
- does not create registry keys, only modifies some negligible system ones, thus it's not stealth;
- if you create a file called "Notepad2.ini" in the same folder as the executable with the following contents as the first two lines

Code: Select all

[Notepad2]
Notepad2.ini=.\Notepad2.ini
then the settings will be saved in the same folder. The file's name must be the same as the executable, so you can have multiple configurations in the same folder.

Code: Select all

notepad.exe and notepad.ini
notepad2.exe and notepad2.ini
etc

Good point

I didn't try tweaking any setting s or the suchlike I just tested it out in sandbox to see what it was like and found some regkeys had been added afterwards.

It would be better if the ini was included with the download then as some fools *raises hand :oops: * don't know how to add one

I actually never test notepad2 thoroughly, because at first I think that it's really portable and simple. Thanks for the advice from the expert... :D

Btw, it's not the newest but the best one of notepad2, in my opinion. Because the newest version have many additional feature with larger file size, and the other one need additional system library.
