URL Snooper

#1 Post by DarkShadow »

URL Snooper, a program written to help users locate the urls of audio and video files so that they can be recorded.

Many links to streaming audio and video that you come across on the web are hidden behind javascript or activex scripts. Because of this, it is sometimes very difficult to figure out the actual urls that correspond to the streams being played. URL Snooper provides easy solution to finding the URLs for all streams by watching network traffic and identifying potential urls, especially streaming media urls.

heh, i didn't know this was portable. used to be a handy tool to find radio station URLs but depending on my OS setup it had difficult time detecting WinPCAP or the adapter for some reason. Hope it works now.

edit: nope, same old problems. must be my usb modem :(

How is this portable since its functionality depends on a driver that needs installation?

@ joby_toss: It's the same like at WhoIsConnectedSniffer, DNSQuerySniffer, WebCookiesSniffer, HTTPNetworkSniffer, WebSiteSniffer etc.

See Dependencies: Capture Driver

BTW: WebSiteSniffer got 5 points from you

But WebSiteSniffer works with raw sockets, too.

Why is this still in the database?

Not freeware and not portable.

Due to this being registrationware, I have made the entry private by making the admin user have a high negative rank score and adding its vote to the mix. I hope this achieves the objective without deleting the entry altogether. Hopefully it can be resurrected at a future date if the license changes.

Log in, use the detailed search page and set Results type to Private only. (That option is visible only when you're logged in.)

Besides SYSTEM's method, I think you can also just type "[#]" (without quotes) in the regular search field...
