Softmaker Office 2008

When you install theres a program that allows you to install to a USB so settings are saved to application folder.

I'm using the beta version and so far it works pretty good.

Thanks -- I got a give-away version last year put together out some instructions for 2008. Are those accurate?

I've also noticed that they're including a flash drive with their 2010 version, so portability is a high priority. Good news.

webfork - I tested your instructions in the older thread and listed my observations.

Might want to do a little thread merging!
is it stealth? ;)

As the other thread discusses both freeware and payware, I think I'll leave it. If they follow suit and push 2008 to a freeware license at some point, I'll definitely merge.

Now it's SoftMaker Office 2016, but they're actually advertising a 128 gig drive along with the commercial version of their program, which seems like a bit of dedication to a portable office suite.

As the drive is worth roughly $30, essentially making it a $50 office suite price tag.
