External CLI Lists, Directories, and Resources. (3rd Party)

#1 Post by vevy »

These are curated/general lists of various tools put together by third parties (meaning they contain tools not developed by the people making the list)

Lists of only/mostly CLI tools:

https://tinyapps.org/ CLI + others
https://www.robvanderwoude.com/
https://cects.com/find-win32-cli-utilities/
https://opensourcepack.blogspot.com/ (mix of first and third party tools)
https://ss64.com/links/windows.html

Specialized Lists:
https://rarewares.org/ (contain some audio conversion tools)
Encode's forum. Contains links to compression-related tools

Other useful Places:

https://crates.io/

ComputerHope.com isn't specifically about the CLI, but contains many a valuable tip.

Case in point: https://www.computerhope.com/jargon/c/copycon.htm.

Just a note that I liked both the computerhope and ss64 -- both are good resources.
