Winarc is NOT portable. Just tested it on my own machine... creates .ini files in the windows directory.
Sorry for this post !
Winarc is a collection of game subprograms, currently including Life, Krypto, Boxes, Hex, Rubik, Mazes, Pegs, Bishops, the Loyd 15 puzzle, Spaceship, and Sudoku. Can someone test if it runs on Win 7 and I will enter it for voting.
There are a few more specific programs on the Peanut Software page (Wingeom, Winplot, Winstats, Winfeed, Windisc, Winmat, Wincalc, Winwordy, and Winlab) all seem to be portable and small in size. Someone please add them if appropriate.
Thanks.

Re: Winarc (games)
Update on these old apps:
There is a list and a description of (some ?) the applications developed by Richard Parris at:
https://compasstech.com.au/ARNOLD/PAGES/winstuff.htm
the links to the applications point to the original website and are now defunct.
The only place where I could find some of the applications:
http://spot.fho-emden.de/ftp/MATHE/
winarc does not run on my Win10 PC

Here's the archive.org link: https://web.archive.org/web/20161216155 ... inarc.html The site was available until almost 2017.
Re: Winarc (games)
I also didn't find any sources but, weirdly, Winarc ran alright with a few hiccups in my Windows 10 -- but its INI files were redirected to '%LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore\Windows'...
