I personally don't (not because I don't understand the registry) but I prefer use an INI file, just the same as Opera does.
guinness, you never miss an opportunity to mention Opera...

Late to the party as always, but couldn't pass by without mentioning that Pitaschio (http://pitaschio.ara3.net/; v1.20 has been discussed at http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/ ... 8849#p8849 and seems to be portable now...) has a setting that will constrain any program windows to the available screen real estate.

It's that 'Place window only in screen' option...

jscottmurray wrote:There's an old app on Tin's Toys which I've used to wow the users when they lose a window: DeskLite. Here's a link - http://desktopian.org/lsapps/desklite.zip

It lists all open windows. A double-click on any list entry centers the window. And it's portable!

@ jscottmurray
The Desktopian.org address is currently down.

But I found a link to a file called DeskLite @ http://www.shellfront.org/utils/

Please If you could post a md5checksum for your copy of DeskLite, or download the copy of DeskLite from http://www.shellfront.org/utils/ and compare them.

Thanks.

Oops I ignored the dates entirely.

I scanned the copy of DeskLite I downloaded and it works.

Tested Desklite and it seems to work as described. Thanks. :)

EDIT: Although last developed in 1998, Desklite seems to be able to interact with x64 program windows...

EDIT2: Autosizer current version is 1.71 (Warning: not portable, plus installer autolaunches once finished).
