what about portable OSes??
I note the edition of qemu manager but
not the available free OSes to go with it
I havent found any portable OSesb listed IN THE MAIN LISTING nor the discussion of any of the lennox based "portable"?? OSes
I would like to know about DSL-N, Puppy Lennox, etc
any OSes claiming portability
I may just be running bad searches but I didnt find a discussion about
these Lennox OSes listed under rejected apps
please if its here contact me through the TPFC
what about portable OSes??

A couple of things;
- This website appears to be heavily Windows oriented, although there are some applications with BSD, Linux, MacOS, or other OS versions.
- DSL-N does not seem to be under development anymore.
- DSL (N's older sibling) is still in active development. A version with QEMU can be found on the DSL website:
http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/
In fact, there is a new version today.
- There are many Linux and BSD versions that are bootable from CD, DVD, or even USB drives. A good place to look for them is:
http://distrowatch.com/

If you're looking for something small, DSL is the way to go.
I would also recommend
Puppy linux, it's pretty a pretty good distro, the desktop interface is similar to windows 9xhttp://puppylinux.com/download/index.html
Under 100 megs
Another one is Slax it'st larger than puppy and dsl, but packs more features /based off slackware and includes an interface KDE desktop.
Under 200 megs
All of them have pretty low system requirements and include a live cd.

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking for...
If you wish to get an OS which can be run on an optical disc then alanbcohen & portackager already got the answer for you...
But if you wish that TPFC will suggest to its users a repository of Linux, BSD etc. etc. distributions that could be running on an optical discs then this is unacceptable (IMHO at least) because this will require to submit like 90% of all the OSs on http://distrowatch.com/
Do you know DVDs? DVD can contain Ubuntu or SUSE Linux in it
If you meant to CDs then... still no - as far as I saw, there are more than 20 distributions of Linux that can be run on a CD. if that's what we got now, in the (not so far) future we'll have more than 100 -- dunno, maybe I'm wrong?!?

Maybe (and I'm emphasizing Maybe) we can think of OSs like ReactOS Slax DSL etc., OSs that are less than 250MB
