ubook
ubook is a great portable book reader. They have a nag version and paid versions
If you mean read on screen, and not text-to-speech, there are 2 apps in the database:
Ybook: http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=415
and eTextReader: http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=620
If you want something that supports proprietary eBook formats, I don't know if you'll find it.
Cheers,
Joe

Late reply, but just wanted to add to ashghost(Joe)'s post above that even though I don't know of a portable .lit reader, there is a portable .lit converter in the database that'll convert to formats the other portable readers can read.ashghost wrote: If you want something that supports proprietary eBook formats, I don't know if you'll find it.
