Researchers over at Princeton have found a way to crack disk encryption methods such as TrueCrypt...

Just goes to show that no one can be truly protected!

What they have found is a way to read RAM content after power-shutdown.
This is not the same as "cracking truecrypt", the only reason this works is that they can get the encryption-key from the computers RAM .
This isn't really news either, it has been known for some time that modern RAM can retain data for some time after power-off. This is why all good encryption-programs wipe the keys from RAM when you dismount the encrypted volume .
All WDE-systems keep the key in RAM btw .

Still, BIG NEWS!!, at least, for me.

I really didn't know about this issue and this knowledge will definitely assist me in my planning future

This Israeli piss-ant is might living less than only 2 hours from me (whole Israel, driving is only 6 or 8 hours maximum)

It is true, no need to be paranoid, but when I see, sometimes (eg. on del.icio.us), 20 Israelis of 100 - 120 who bookmarked some illegal sites, which are (eg.) presenting howto crack another machine, then... I really don't like it (I mean, we're only 7,000,000)
