DICOM in the medical sense - the files you typically get on a CD/DVD for X-Rays, CT scans or MRIs. They normally come with proprietary viewing software of their own, however I would prefer copying the files to my ext HDD and viewing it with a more current (and full-featured) freeware/FOSS program.
I've come across various potential candidates: Ginkgo CADx, Mango, Agnosco, MAYAM/dcm4che, 3DimViewer, DICOMscope, MicroDicom.
Has anyone tested any of these? Or know of any others?
Apparently Irfanview can view DICOM files.
